Ask for GNU make Windows binary

zi li
   Hi. Admin,
GNU Make supports cross-compilation in Windows. Could you provide an
official binary package (.exe) compiled by Visual Studio with every
release for users on Windows.  Thanks.

The GNU project doesn't provide binaries for any platform; it only provides
source code.

I've never tried to cross-compile for Windows but presumably you still need
Windows runtime software to do that, and those runtimes are not freely
licensed.

There are other groups who will create and make available binaries for
Windows.  Perhaps they will reply here with pointers.

Cheers!

You will find the precompiled MS-Windows binaries of the latest
release of GNU Make here:

  https://sourceforge.net/projects/ezwinports/files/

But these are MinGW builds, not MSVC builds (if that matters).
